In this episode, Kristof and Johan discuss the second distinction from Chapter 50: Wanting something vs. Choosing it.
Many people “want” all sorts of things: more revenue, a better team, a stronger relationship, more peace of mind. But wanting doesn’t get you from A to B. Wanting merely heightens your awareness of the lack of what you want. It keeps you locked in a battle with reality. Choosing is a whole different ballgame: Choosing is intelligent action taken with full responsibility, regardless of the consequences.
A leader doesn't want to. A leader chooses.
